    Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the community. Thanks for taking time to share. I am happy that you chose this curriculum to work with. You will really enjoy the Quizlet vocabulary sets. I have a video training on how to use the Quizlets t omake quizzes. My students love Quizlet live! I have plans on creating video presentations for each unit this year. You will see those starting to pop up in each unit area. They will be great for students who missed class or for flipping your classroom. I just hope I can get to them soon…. it has been a crazy summer already.

Feel free to post here or email me if you have any questions or need anything!

Thanks for sharing this. I have done this before. It just didn’t make it into the curriculum. Students enjoy it. Maybe some members will give it a try!

Coral, pine cone, fossils, baleen, coal, the left over mealworms from lab, bird nests, bees nest, barnacles, grass, lichens, coconut in shell, insect specimens, wasp gall, grass, soil and whatever else I can find lying around my classroom. I do not purchase anything for this.

Thanks for the input. We will address those issues as we see them come up. I totally agree that consistency with the metric system should be used throughout. I will look through the experimental design documents and fix those. Please give the worksheet title if you find something that is incorrect since it can speed up the process for making corrections.

    Treveon,
First, I hope all is well in Houston with you and your community. Our school here in PA is actual “adopting a school” and fillings truck with school supplies to send to Houston. You and your community are in our thoughts.

Like you I am also teaching a variation of forensic science through the PLTW pathway (Principles of Biomedical Science). I love it, however it is an immense amount of work. I hope this curriculum offers you a reprieve from your work load and I am excited to work with you. I already know you are an advocate for your students and your teaching craft and I look forward to working with you to build this community to serve teachers for years to come. Thanks for being a “grass roots” founding member!

    Hi Stacey,
I am so glad that we have you here in the community. It will be great to get your input on the level of the content. When I set out to complete this curriculum I had not idea how much work it would be but I am glad that you are a part of it. It was designed for the thousand of teachers in your situation. School have needs and sometime those needs expand outside of our comfort zone or area of preparation. I look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestion. I am sure you will serve as a valuable asset to all of the other members as well. Welcome!
